Hi all,
Past Monday, me, Dabis and Shannoo went to Mohurli by autorickshaw. 1 Hour drive. Great! So much to see. The big fabric which I saw (reinoud) is a coal mining place. The whole area around is covered with a layer of black dust.
The house in Mohurli is great. Very clean and peaceful. In the afternoon we went for the first Jungle ride and good shot! It seemed to be “ tiger day” . First we saw some deers, also one crocodile beside the lake. Great!! The view on the lake is beautiful. The whole area is beautiful… But pictures only give a slight taste of how it looks and feels.
Then after dark we heard the first sound of a tiger, but this one was staying in the woods. Then we moved on to another area and after some time, we finally saw a tiger! My first tiger I saw in the wild! And great thanks to Samir, because he really is good in spotting tigers! This tiger was at a safe distance and just walking, but as they don’t want any interruption, they follow the jeeps, so you have to drive away from them really fast. We went back with another truck to see them again. But this time it really became scared, as this one was really following us and it came really close. And it was in attack position…And if that wasn’t enough someone was making a picture with flash light…we (three woman) where scared to dead and holding each other…Also the guide was scared. But Samir was the big hero and took it all very carefully and knew what to do…wow! When we arrived back in the village we’re still shaking. What an experience! And that on my first day and my first Jungle tour.
After dinner we had a good evening talk on the stairs of our little house. Woman talk! J So want write about that… Shannoo, is a really clever ands strong woman. I really admire her. She is 28 (only 2 years older than me), but so good, handy and always helpful. And her English is really good. So I’m really glad that she came with us to Mohurli. I will probably miss her, when I’m staying here on my own. But it’s good to know that I always can visit her +fam in Chandrapur.
Groetjes, Natascha

In Deventer alles O.K. Oom Gerard mocht al in het weekeinde naar huis, maar revalidatie gaat nog zeker een half jaar duren ! Verder alles goed.
Groeten.
Very exciting but sounds dangerous.Keep writing.

Gaat het goed met je en nog meer tijgers gezien?
Ben je nu alleen op stap, of heb je alweer wat kontakten?
Ben benieuwd, hoe je daar de Kerst doorbrengt.
Groetjes, An en Rien.
